Trademark Guidelines

How to use the FreeLogo brand correctly, and what you need to know about trademarking your own logo.

1. The FreeLogo Brand

"FreeLogo" and the FreeLogo logo are trademarks of FreeLogo. These guidelines govern how the FreeLogo brand may be used by third parties, including partners, media, and the general public.

2. Permitted Uses

5. User-Generated Logos

Logos created by users through the FreeLogo platform are not FreeLogo trademarks. Paid plan users own their generated logos outright and may register them as trademarks in any jurisdiction, subject to applicable trademark law. FreeLogo does not claim trademark rights over user-generated logos. However, we recommend conducting a trademark search before registration to avoid conflicts with existing marks.

6. Trademark Registration of Your Logo

If you wish to register your FreeLogo-generated logo as a trademark: 1. Conduct a trademark search in your target jurisdiction (e.g., USPTO for the US, CIPO for Canada) 2. Consult a trademark attorney to assess registrability and potential conflicts 3. File your application with the appropriate trademark office 4. Use your Copyright Ownership Certificate (provided with paid plans) as supporting documentation FreeLogo does not provide legal advice regarding trademark registration. We recommend working with a qualified trademark attorney.

7. Reporting Trademark Concerns

If you believe your trademark rights have been infringed by a logo generated through FreeLogo, or if you see unauthorized use of the FreeLogo brand, please contact us at contact@freelogo.im with details of the concern.

8. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Trademark Guidelines from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Last updated: March 1, 2026.
